Shingles is a painful skin disease. It primarily affects older and frail people. You can get vaccinated against it. This protects you from shingles.

The Health Council recommends vaccination with "Shingrix." This active ingredient prevents shingles and the associated pain in nine out of ten cases and offers long-term protection.

Would you like to get vaccinated against shingles? You will receive two vaccinations. One immediately. The second vaccination after two to six months.

You must cover the costs yourself. The total cost is approximately €370.00. In rare cases, the costs are reimbursed.
